Older Drivers Safer but Vulnerable

AAA's new study finds seniors 65 and older make up the fastest-growing driver age group in the United States.

They are safe, but vulnerable drivers.

The driver's club's Kimberly Schwind says almost nine of ten older drivers could make simple and easy adjustments to keep them safer, longer.

She says steering wheel covers, seat cushions and seat belt extensions can help drivers and lead to fewer crashes.

Schwind says they're more than twice as likely to be killed if they're in a crash.
