The Ohio Department of Health says the flu is on the increase and nearly 100 people across the state were hospitalized for flu over the past week.
Overall, 257 hospitalizations have been reported - the highest of any of the last five years at this point of the season.
The CDC says pregnant women who have not been vaccinated put their babies at risk.
Reports show the flu vaccine may not be as effective this year as other years because of the flu strain making the rounds but the CDC still recommends the vaccine because the situation can change.
