Only scattered outages were still being reported in Ross County early Tuesday afternoon, according to American Electric Power.
Approximately 1,900 customers south of Chillicothe were without service between 9:30am and early afternoon. As a result, Huntington Local School District dismissed early- with the high school and middle schools letting out at 10:30am and the elementary at 11:30am.
An area along State Route 28 between Chillicothe and South Salem was restored at 10:15am, after being down for almost two hours.
