New Ohio Voting Machines by 2020?

There's an effort to get new voting machines in Ohio.

Ohio Secretary of State Jon Husted is asking Governor John Kasich and legislative leaders to provide $118,000,000 to replace old voting equipment. That's according to the Columbus Dispatch.

The goal is to have new voting equipment in place before the 2020 election. Most voting equipment in Ohio was purchased in 2005 and 2006.

About half of the state uses paper to vote - the other half votes electronically.
