Traffic Pattern Change Now in Effect at Second & Mulberry

Another change has been made to the way traffic flows at a commonly used intersection in Chillicothe.

The Chillicothe Engineering Department has changed the intersection at Mulberry and Second to an All-Way Stop. The change is effective immediately.

The intersection formerly required westbound motorists on Second Street to stop at the intersection with north and southbound traffic along Mulberry maintaining the right-of-way, however, all vehicles are now required to stop at the intersection regardless of their direction.

The city is temporarily using flashing stop signs at the intersection to signify the change. More traditional signage will take it's place once area residents become used to the new pattern.

The change comes on the heels of a similar update to the intersection at Walnut and Fourth.
