A new scam may be popping up in the Ross County area involving one of our local iHeartMedia radio stations.
A local woman received a call on Friday and was informed she had won tickets to Disney World via 94 Country, WKKJ. She was then informed that to claim the tickets she would need to send money. Fortunately the woman refused and contacted and our local office. We have since contacted police.
Should anyone receive such a call, it is an attempt at a scam. None of our local iHeartMedia stations are currently giving tickets to Disney World away, and if we did, we would never require any sort of payment.
Potential victims of this scam should contact local law enforcement if they receive any such call.
