Anthem to No Longer Cover Non-Emergency ER Visits

Anthem is cracking down on Ohioans who come to emergency rooms with non-emergency health problems.

The health insurer announced Wednesday that it'll no longer cover non-emergency ER visits after seeing an increase in such cases this past year.

According to the company, seasonal allergies were among the top reasons people checked into emergency rooms, despite a statewide campaign to steer patients to primary care doctors.
