County sheriffs in several area counties have issued snow emergencies in their counties Friday night.
Pike and Vinton counties declared a Level 2 Snow Emergency.
Ross, Pickaway, Jackson and Hocking counties have declared Level 1 Snow Emergencies. The emergencies were issued at about 8pm, and are likely to be in place for the overnight.
A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued by the National Weather Service, calling for 1-3 inches of snow accumulation through the overnight.
The advisory is in place until 10am Saturday.
