A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for the Scioto Valley area until 10:00 a.m. Saturday.
The National Weather Service in Wilmington says an east-southeast clipper system will bring up to 2 to 3 inches of snowfall in some areas. That's from a line extending from Richmond, Indiana to south of Dayton, and eastward to Chillicothe and Logan.
The higher amounts of snowfall will be found in south-central Ohio with less accumulation in the south near the Ohio River. Around 2 inches of snowfall is expected along the I-70 corridor with about an inch expected along the Ohio River.
Motorist should anticipate slippery road conditions and reduced visibility. The snowfall will also bring ODOT snowplows and salt trucks onto the roadways. Drivers are reminded not to crowd the plow.
