One of the organizers of a bluegrass festival in Piketon is being considered for a prestigious award.
The Society for the Preservation of Bluegrass Music Association has nominated Sam Karr for Promoter of the Year. He'll find out if he's won during the association's Bluegrass Music Awards in Nashville in February.
Karr is co-organizer of the SamJam Bluegrass Festival, which plans another event next summer.
