The Miami Trace School District Campus is closed Thursday, according to the Fayette County Sheriff's Office, due to a security threat.
The announcement was made by the Sheriff's Office through their Facebook page. No other details were available from the sheriff until their investigation is complete.
Miami Trace School was already on a two-hour delay for Thursday, due to extreme cold temperatures, and not related to this threat.
The school has has repeated problems with threats being either phoned or sent via social media in the last several months, with one such incident leading to an arrest.
