Cold Dog Leads to Suspected Thief

The Washington CH police department reports that a cruelty to animals call led to a shoplifting arrest.

About 4pm Friday, officers responded to the Wal-Mart in reference to a dog tied up outside in the sub-freezing weather.

No one responded to announcements in the store, but eventually a man was found who admitted the dog was his.  But he was also found to have concealed merchandise on him.

Troy R. Baker was arrested for cruelty to animals, theft, obstructing offical businness, and drug paraphernalia.
