Winter Storm Warning


A winter storm is headed for the Buckeye State. 

The National Weather Service in Wilmington, Ohio has issued a Winter Storm Warning for our listening area between 2pm Friday and 10am Saturday. 

This is the first "Winter Storm "Warning" issued by NWS for this region in over 700 days, according to the Wilmington office. 

Forecasters believe the storm will begin as freezing rain, sleet then snow Friday afternoon, before turning to all snow late Friday afternoon through evening. Ice accumulation is expected, calling for one-tenth of an inch of ice and 3-5 inches of snow by Saturday morning.
