Police in Circleville are investigating what they say might have been a possible abduction attempt of a young girl, Wednesday morning.
According to a police report, a female juvenile reported that she was at the intersection of East High and North Washington Streets sometime between 8:10 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. when she was approached by an unknown male who motioned for her to come to his vehicle. The girl told officers she ran from the scene and returned home.
The man was described as a black male, possibly around 20 years of age, wearing a black beanie. The girl said the man was driving a white SUV with black wheels.
Police say if anyone has information that might identify the man, or if they witness any similar suspicious behavior, they are encouraged to contact the Circleville Police Department.
