Snow showers that froze to area roads created slick road conditions for Thursday morning motorists. Reports of several traffic accidents in the Scioto Valley were common and several schools in the region called-in two hour delays.
A crash on U.S. Route 23, just north of Circleville, had southbound lanes closed part of the morning.
Fayette County Sheriff reported that most roads were icy and snow covered with "multiple accidents" being reported. Some snow emergencies and road advisories have been issued by county sheriff offices.
