Job Fair March 15th at OU-Chillicothe

The Ross-Chillicothe Chamber of Commerce is putting out a call to job seekers ahead of its annual Job Expo. The event is coming up next Thursday, March 15th at Ohio University Chillicothe’s Shoemaker Center.

"This is an event hosted each year to help employers reach people who are seeking jobs," said the chamber's Briana Hood. "We have some full time, part time, and seasonal... a little bit of everything. Typically we see 80 to 100 employers and as many as 400 or 500 job seekers come through in the course of the day."

The Job Expo will run from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. for all job seekers. However, Hood says Veterans will get a head start.

"We do highlight this event as special for veterans," said Hood. We make sure all the local resource groups are there and we allow [vets] to come in a half-hour early."

The local young professionals network, EPIC, has an event coming up the day prior to the Expo to help those looking for work prepare for the Expo. Their “Suit Up” event will take place on Wednesday, March 14th from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. at Paper City Coffee. Members will be available to help review your resume and test your interviewing skills.
