A local man died in a one-car accident in Pike County, early Saturday morning. According to a report from the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Danny R. Skinner, 31, of Chillicothe, was driving northbound on State Route 104 at 3:26 a.m., Saturday, when his vehicle went off the right side of the road, hit a guardrail and an embankment, and overturned.
Authorities confirmed Skinner was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Pike County Sheriff's Office, Piketon Police Department, Waverly Police Department, Waverly Fire Department, and Pike County Fire/EMS responded as well, said officials with the State Highway Patrol.
Authorities said the crash remains under investigation.
