The next two-year Ohio budget is headed for the Senate.
A fortune in spending for Ohio's roads, bridges, water and sewer lines, and schools is headed for the State Senate.
The House of Representatives passed the measure, which includes two-point-six billion dollars for buildings, parks, schools, roads and water sewer lines.
State Representative Niraj Antani, of Miamisburg, said the higher education portion is $500,000,000. Other lawmakers point out it's a two-point-six billion dollar investment in Ohio.
The final total will be decided after the Senate takes up the spending plan and reconciles needs with House lawmakers.
