Ohioans will have a new place to star gaze this summer and it's all in honor of an American hero.
John Glenn Astronomy Park at Hocking Hills will officially open June 21st. The date has special meaning as it coincides with the summer solstice, or the longest day of the year.
The park will allow people to explore the night sky and study the sun. John Glenn agreed to lend his name to the park shortly before he passed away in December 2016.
