OCU Sued For Hostile Work Environment

Ohio Christian University is being sued for allegedly creating a hostile work environment.

The "Circleville Herald" says a former lawyer for OCU filed a suit last fall claiming he was fired in retaliation for investigating claims of sexual harassment and a hostile work culture.

Jeremy Davitz says he was fired by former OCU President Mark Smith because Davitz was investigating his son, who worked in the IT department and had allegedly made numerous racist and discriminatory comments.

OCU is also being sued by a former employee who worked with the president's son on the IT help desk and claims he made racial and sexist slurs.

OCU released a statement saying it does not discuss specifics of pending litigation.
