Severe Storms Rattle Nerves & Buildings

Heavy rains, flooding, sharp lightning and tornado watches and warnings were common-place Tuesday throughout central and southern Ohio. 


One funnel cloud in the Jeffersonville area of Fayette County was captured on camera, which is posted at the top of this article.


Hail the size of nickles and quarters hit near Grove City at approximately 5:30pm as traffic backed up on I-71 as tornado sirens were blaring all around. Electricity was knocked-out to much of the Stringtown Road area at that time as wind gusts blew debris across roadways. Power was knocked-out to much of Grove City and could take until Thursday to restore. At least one motorist was trapped inside his car for a couple of hours after a utility pole fell on his car.
