An art competition is now open at the Pump House.
The 20th annual Chillicothe Art League spring open exhibition is this month's show at Chillicothe's Pump House Center for the Arts.
Show coordinator and League president Betsy Parker said there are many familiar names, with a few new ones, from within the competition's roughly 75-mile radius.
Aside from viewing the show during the upcoming Earth Gathering, Parker says there will be two other spin-offs: The Chillicothe Garden Club will create floral displays, and the Southern Ohio Writers will make compositions, based on some of the art.
She says there's about 40 artists with 80 pieces, filling both levels.
The Pump House is now open Wednesday through Sunday.
