The Chillicothe Utilities Department will be installing additional fire hydrants in the Brewer Heights area throughout the rest the month and into August.
City Utilities Director, Richard Johnson, announced Tuesday that the hydrants will be installed to insure additional fire coverage for the area as required by National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) and Ohio Fire Code requirements.
Johnson says for now there is no anticipated interruption to water service in the Brewer Heights area while the hydrants are installed.
