The Westfall Lady Mustangs remain perfect in SVC Softball in a wild one Wednesday against the Piketon Lady Redstreaks.
Trailing 8-3 midway through the game, Westfall scored five times in the bottom of the fourth inning to even the game at 8-8. The Mustangs took a lead of 9-8, only to see Piketon plate two runs in the top of the 7th for a 10-9 lead.
The heroics came from Sami Tackett with one runner on and two out. Tacket blasted a two-run walkoff homer to lift the Lady Mustangs to an 11-10 victory and run their record to (5-0/8-0). Tackett also had 4 hits in the game.
Piketon falls two back of Westfall with the loss. Huntington beat Zane Trace 9-0 to stay one game back in the SVC standings.
Unioto remains one game back with a 13-0 win over Southeastern.
