(24/7 News) -- Hundreds of retail workers in Ohio will soon find themselves out of jobs as the region loses one of its iconic retailers.
A federal bankruptcy judge will be asked to approve the sale of Elder-Beerman's parent company to a liquidator. Bon-Ton Stores told employees yesterday that its stores will be shuttered within 12 weeks.
Elder-Beerman started in Dayton, in the late 1800's.
The Chillicothe Elder-Beerman is among the 42 remaining stores in 8 states, that will close soon.
