Combining art with a love for the environment will be the attraction of the 19th Annual Earth Gathering Art Festival, April 21st at the Yoctangee Park Pump House Gallery and Lawn.
Chillicothe Art League Vice President Shelley Pocock says the yearly event started to give attention to concerns over global warming.
Local and regional hand-made art products, healthy food and live music will all be part of the event, which includes the Art League's current exhibition inside the Pump House Art Gallery.
Activities get underway at 11am and run through 6pm.
The Earth Gathering Festival follows the annual Scioto River Waterway Cleanup which has volunteers gathering at the Chillicothe Annex at 9am Saturday. There will be teams working to clean the river banks of trash and debris in the Annex and also at Strawser Park.
