Time is running out on the SVC baseball and softball seasons, with five games to play, going into April 23rd action.
In baseball, Zane Trace and Unioto share the conference lead at (8-1), with Adena two games off the pace at (6-3). The Pioneers outlasted Unioto 11-10 in their first meeting, with the return trip to Unioto slated for April 30th. The Pioneers lone loss was a 3-2 set-back to Westfall.
Games involving Zane Trace at Adena and Unioto at Paint Valley are postponed for Monday.
In softball, Westfall remains unbeaten in conference play, standing at (9-0). The Lady Mustangs have plowed through most of their league foes, except for their close-call with Piketon, where Westfall needed a walk-off homer to win the game.
The Lady Mustangs were ranked in the state coaches association top 10 poll last week, but dropped out of the top 10 this week. Westfall's game with Huntington is postponed for Monday.
Huntington is two games back, with Piketon and Unioto three games back.
