Area Baseball Teams Climbing in State Coaches Poll


The Ohio High School Baseball Coaches Association continues to be impressed with teams from the area, as more teams are climbing higher in the state poll.


In Division 2, Zane Trace has moved up to 5th in the state poll, with Unioto at 6th. Miami Trace appears as 25th in the D-2 poll. Mid State League leader Bloom Carroll, out of the Central District, is ranked 13th.


In Division 3, Minford is 12th, Adena climbs to number 13 and West Union is 14th.  Wheelersburg sinks to 26th, despite beating Adena last week in 11 innings. South Point is 27th.


In the Division 4 poll, Whiteoak ranks #1- even though they lost their first game of the season over the weekend. Portsmouth Clay is 9th.
