Bainbridge Fire Ruled Arson by State Fire Marshal

The early morning fire that broke out Tuesday in Bainbridge has been ruled arson by the Ohio State Fire Marshal.

That fire started around 2:00 a.m. Tuesday in the 100-block of Main Street completely destroying four buildings and causing damage to several others.

The Fire Marshals Office called the cause of the fire "a human act." The Blue Ribbon Arson Committee is now offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest or conviction.

Fire Marshals said 11 fire departments from four counties responded to the fire, which took nearly three hours to control, and were called back to the structure twice after the fire rekindled.
