An opinion issued from Attorney General Mike DeWine's office indicates a jackpot game at Grayton Road Tavern in Cleveland appears to be legal. That is- if winnings are paid to participants.
The Queen of Hearts game led to a $5 million jackpot prize a couple of months ago. The tavern withheld ten percent to seed the next round, and that led to the game's suspension.
The AG's opinion paves the way for the state legislature to take a look at games like that one, for the entire state.
