A Chillicothe Police Officer, accused in a use-of-force incident at the Ross County Jail, has been fired.
The incident took place in early March when Officer Reggie Netter is said to have struck an inmate after that inmate hurled a derogatory name at Netter.
An internal investigation into the incident was conducted by Chillicothe Police with a criminal investigation handled by the Ohio BCI.
There is a 10-day window for Netter to appeal the firing.
