Ohio's First Provisional Medical Marijuana Dispensary Licenses Announced

A State announcement today has ended months of speculation about where patients will be able to purchase medical marijuana. 

A total of 56 dispensary license awards were announced today by the State of Ohio Board of Pharmacy.

All provisional license holders have six months to demonstrate compliance by completing a successful on-site inspection by Board of Pharmacy agents. Once a dispensary is awarded a certificate of operation, it can begin to sell medical marijuana to Ohio patients and caregivers in accordance with Ohio laws and rules.

Ohio's Medical Marijuana Program is set to begin September 8th.

Locally, Ross County is among communities to house a medical marijuana dispensary. Verdant Creations, LLC will be located at 1641 N. Bridge Street in Chillicothe.

Another dispensary will be housed in Jackson County. Buckeye Botanicals, LLC will be located at 3 Acy Ave. in Jackson.

Highland County will host Debbie's Dispensary Ohio 4, LLC at 1088 N. High Street in Hillsboro.

Greene County will Harvest of Ohio, LLC at 4370 Tonawanda Trail in Bearvercreek.

Hocking County's dispensary, Cannascend Alternative Logan, LLC will be located at 245 W. Main St. in Logan.
