The Highway Patrol reported a two-vehicle fatal crash on State Route 32 at State Route 335 in Pike County.
76-year-old Patricia Bradley of Beaver was was southbound on State Route 335 in a 2005 Chevrolet Malibu, and was crossing the eastbound lanes of State Route 32.
42-year-old Kirk Mayes of Waverly was eastbound on SR 32 in a 2000 Cadillac Escalade and struck Bradley’s vehicle on the passenger side.
Bradley was pronounced dead at the scene by the Pike County Coroner. A passenger in the Cadillac, 45-year-old Tina Bonecutter of Waverly, was transported to Holzer Medical Center in Jackson by Pike County EMS.
The Beaver Fire Department, Stockdale Fire Department, Pike County EMS, Pike County Coroner, and the Pike County Sheriff’s Office were on scene.
State Route 32 was closed about 10:45pm because of the crash and was finally reopened about 1:22am.
