Japanese Cultural History Topic of Hopewell Park Event

The archaeological lecture series continues at Hopewell Culture National Historical Park. "Between Foragers and Samurai: Violence in Late Prehistoric Japan", will be the next presentation at 7pm June 19th.

This is a look into understanding violent conflict prior to the emergence of the first state society in the region, after revolutionary changes in subsistence, cultural practices, technology, and politics.

Again, JEB Bowen plans to eat his supper at the Mound City picnic tables at 5pm before the talk, and invites all to join him in sharing artifacts and information.
