Cherry Street in Chillicothe will be closed to all traffic for about a two-hour period this coming Tuesday.
Safety/Service Director, Jeff Carmen, says Cherry Street will close at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 26th to allow a change of street signage. Cherry is switching from a one-way southbound street to a one-way northbound street from Chestnut to Arch.
The change is being made allow for safe drop off of children at the new K-2nd grade elementary school at Cherry and Mill and to assist with traffic flow.
Motorists and pedestrians should exercise additional caution and patience when using Cherry Street while residents become used to the change in traffic flow.
