The Chillicothe Civic Theatre will celebrate 50th years of entertaining the local community this Saturday, June 30th with its 4th annual Run, Walk & Boom.
The event features a 5K run/walk through the downtown Chillicothe area, and a one-mile Sparkler Sprint through Yoctangee Park.
Participants are encouraged to dress up in their patriotic best with a prize awarded for the most patriotic costume.
Prizes will also be awarded to the top 3 male and top 3 female finishers.
There is a $35.00 fee to participate.
Advance registration can be done online at cctchillicothe.com or at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday in Yoctangee Park. Registration will be set up near the YMCA of Ross County.
The Civic Theatre's next production, Ronald Dahl's Willy Wonka, runs July 26th through July 29th in the Chillicothe High School Auditorium.
