Shoults Scores Rare "Double-Eagle" at Crown Hill

It is rare for a golfer to hit a hole-in-one". It might be even more rare to hear of a "double-eagle", or a shot that was three under par for that hole. Maddi Shoults, a soon-to-be freshman at Westfall High School, pulled-off that feat on Friday June 29th at Crown Hill Golf Course in Wiiliamsport.

The shot is also known as an "Albatross".

The 14-year-old Shoults scored on her second shot from an estimated 225 yards away on the #10 par five 450 yard hole. She was using a 5 wood.

Maddi has been playing golf competitively since the age of 8. This fall will mark her first high school golf season at Westfall.
