Triple Fatal Crash in Ross County

A Chillicothe woman and two children in her car were killed in a head-on crash late Wednesday night in Ross County.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol reports the 11:38pm fatal crash occurred when 21-year-old Monica Arledge went left-of-center as she was driving westbound on County Road 550 near Maple Grove Road, colliding with a pickup truck driven by 27-year-old Shane Gifford of Laurelville.

Arledge and her two passengers, 14-year-old Bodhi Arledge of Frankfort and 3-month-old Addilee Secrest of Chillicothe, were pronounced dead at the scene. The two children had been ejected from the car in the collision.

It has since been learned that Monica Arledge was the mother of Addilee Secrest and the sister of Bodhi Arledge.

Mr. Gifford and his two passengers were taken to Adena Regional Medical Center, where they were treated and released.
