Multiple Injuries in Separate Saturday Crashes in Ross County


The Chillicothe Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol had a busy Saturday with two separate injury crashes involving a two-vehicle accident on Blain Highway and a two-vehicle motorcycle crash on Moss Hollow Road. 


The Blain Highway accident occurred at approximately 2:13pm, when a care driven by 18-year-old Quentin Montgomery of Waverly hit a van driven by 24-year-old Tiffany McQueary of Chillicothe when she failed to yield to a stop sign from Mount Tabor Road and pulled into the path of. Montgomery's vehicle. His car was forced off the right side of the road and struck a post. 


McQueary was transported by Huntington Township EMS to Adena Regional Medical Center and three juvenile passengers were transported to Children’s Hospital. Montgomery was transported to Adena Regional Medical Center and a juvenile passenger was flown by MedFlight to Children’s Hospital. All injuries sustained from the crash are non-life threatening.


A two vehicle motorcycle injury crash occurred on Moss Hollow Road at approximately 6:57pm, when a motorcycle driven by 48-year-old Michelle Grubb of Chillicothe, was traveling westbound.  A car driven by 27-year-old Jesse Preston of Chillicothe, failed to yield from a private drive and was struck by Mrs. Grubb. 


Mrs. Grubb was flown by MedFlight to Grant Medical Center for injuries sustained from the crash. Mr. Preston sustained no injuries. Ms. Grubb’s injuries are non-life threatening.
