ODNR Going After Drunken Boaters

The Ohio Division of Natural Resources is cracking down on boat drivers who have had too much to drink.

Officers are reminding boaters to treat boating just like driving when it comes to alcohol consumption. Point-oh-eight is the legal limit on the roads, and on the water.

Officers say drinking while manning the wheel of a boat increases fatigue and impairs judgment. The ODNR says one beer on water is equal to three on land, because of heat, glare from the water, noise and other factors.
