Pike County Looks to Hire Temporary Workers to Repair Flood Damaged Land


A temporary employment opportunity is being provided through a partnership between Pike County, OhioMeansJobs, and The Workforce & Business Development Program.


The county is looking two hire two work crews and support staff to assist with clean up and repair of public lands and roads that sustained damage from the heavy rains and flooding that took place in February.


The county will hire 12 laborers, 2 Disaster Grant Supervisors, and 1 Disaster Grant Case Management Assistance.


The temporary positions are funded by a National Disaster Dislocated Work Grant which runs from August 1st through December 31st.
