Ross EMA to Host Disaster Preparedness Training Program


A program aimed at educating volunteers about disaster preparedness will take place later this month in Chillicothe. 


The Ross County Emergency Management Agency will host the FEMA course: Community Emergency Response Team Training (CERT), on July 28th & 29th. Classes begin at 8:00 a.m. both days at the Ross County Service Center.


The CERT course will offer training to volunteers in a variety of areas including fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization, and disaster medical operations.


Registration for the course is recommended by calling the Ross County Emergency Management Agency at 740-773-1700. Registration will Close on July 20th at 4:00 p.m.
