Chillicothe's Kmart will close its doors in November. The announcement comes as Sears Holdings, Kmart's parent company, continues to shutter both Kmart and Sears stores across the county in an effort to combat declining traffic and sales.
According to the Chillicothe Gazette, a company spokesperson said Wednesday, the store would begin liquidating items in mid-August.
The paper reports that the parcel of land the store resides on at 1470 N. Bridge Street has been sold to Rural King Realty LLC for $4.7-million, according to the Ross County Auditor's website.
