Former educator and Democrat Party nominee Beth Workman is campaigning heavily on education funding in her effort to unseat Ohio House 92nd District incumbent Gary Scherer.
Workman says the education funding system in Ohio isn't fair, which she saw first-hand in her teaching for 16 years in the Paint Valley School District and later as a substitute teacher in the Columbus City Schools.
Workman believes the state legislature has not done enough to uphold the state constitution which calls for the state to "provide for adequate and equitable public education funding". She also mentioned how the Ohio Supreme Court has ruled four different times that the state funding system is "unconstitutional".
