Lawsuit Verdict Goes to Former Circleville Firefighter

City of Circleville - Water Tower

A former Circleville firefighter has been awarded $3.35 million in a lawsuit against the city, where she claimed she was subject to years of harassment and discrimination.

The Columbus Dispatch reports that 38-year-old Amie Morningstar of Circleville, the first full-time female firefighter on that community’s force, filed suit in late 2015 and was fired in early 2016.

Among her accusations, Morningstar alleged she was subject to unwanted sexual advances, denied promotions and bodily fluids were left on her belongings.
