At Wednesday night's council session, Washington Court House City Manager Joe Denen introduced the city's new fire chief.
"The new fire chief is Tim Downing," said Denen. "Tom (Youtz), the current fire chief, is actually with us until December 31st. We've moved Tim, however, onto a more business-type schedule so that he has time to spend with Tom Youtz and get him acclimated a bit more to the duties of the fire chief of Washington Court House."
Downing formerly served as the fire department's lieutenant.
Washington Court House City Council next meets at 7:30 p.m., September 12, in council chambers.
