Feds Investigate Rosenberger for Bribery & Extortion

(24/7 News)  --  Former Ohio Speaker Cliff Rosenberger is the subject of a federal inquiry into bribery and extortion crimes.

According to details of a subpoena released to the public, federal authorities seized documents from Rosenberger's office as part of an investigation into kickbacks and bribes in connection to representatives of the payday lending industry.

Rosenberger, a Republican from Clarksville in Clinton County, resigned as Speaker back in April over allegations he committed violations of the Travel Act during his overseas trips with payday lobbyists.
