The Jackson Post of the Highway Patrol is investigating a two vehicle fatal crash that occurred at 3:09pm Saturday on U.S. Route 50 in Vinton County.
Delbert Trout Jr. of Londonderry, Ohio was killed when 78-year-old Jerry F. Stout of Harrisonburg, Virginia, traveled left-of-center in his car- striking the vehicle driven by Trout.
Delbert Trout was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Vinton County Coroner and two female juveniles in his vehicle were transported to Adena Regional Medical Center then later transferred to Children’s Hospital in Columbus.
Jerry Stout was taken to Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe with incapacitating injures as was passenger Glenn A. Stout of McArthur, Ohio.
US 50 was closed for approximately 3 hours.
