Two people are facing felony drug charges following a traffic stop in Pickaway County.
The County Sheriff’s Office says one of its deputies stopped a southbound vehicle on U.S. 23 shortly before 9:00 a.m. Wednesday for marked lane violations. A K9 unit alerted to the vehicle and a subsequent search led to the discovery of more than three combined ounces of suspected cocaine and crack cocaine concealed inside the vehicle; hidden inside a box of frozen waffles. More than $1,100 was also located and seized.
Two passengers in the car, Brandi McDaniels, of Ashland, KY, and Ein M. Johnson, of Columbus were taken into custody, both charged with first-degree felony Possession of Drugs, and first-degree felony Trafficking in Drugs.
The driver of the vehicle, Norman Ross, of Huntington, WV, was not charged.
The case remains under investigation.
