Poor Field Conditions Cause Playoff Game Site Changes

Steady rains and muddy fields created havoc for many area football games last Friday and will cost home field advantage for at least four games that involve teams in our region. The decisions are overseen by the Ohio High School Athletic Association, who operates the postseason playoffs.

Grandview Heights at Paint Valley has been shifted to Chillicothe's Herrnstein Field, Friday night.

Adena at Shadyside for Friday has been moved to Saint Clairsville High School.

Jackson at Granville has been moved to White Field in Newark for Friday night.

Licking Valley at Gallia Academy game on Saturday night, has been shifted to Jackson High School.

Thus far, these are the only games that have seen sites moved to a neutral field, due to poor playing conditions.
